Overview

SUMMARY: 

The Contract Administrator acts as a liaison to vendors to prepare, examine, analyze, and negotiate contracts that involve various agreements. In addition, they work closely with legal to support and manage contracts to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews requests from vendors and assist with risk assessment and preparation of contract draft based on the information provided.
  • Drafts statements of work, inbound service agreements, supplier agreements and other documents needed for vendor and requestor.
  • Collaborates with legal to finalize drafts for vendor review and approval.
  • Manages signature process and shares fully executed contracts with project manager.
  • Explains contract process and assists stakeholders through various parts of the contract process.
  • Acts as first line of communication for project managers and other stakeholders, responding to contract inquiries and routing to appropriate team members.
  • Briefs team lead on contract draft status and provides background once draft is ready for his/her review.
  • Works closely with vendor managers who need support in specific vendor management tools.
  • Assists with compliance document completion, contract validation and access permitting.
  • Tracks status of open vendor issues to ensure that they are moving forward in the process until fully executed.
  • Coordinates with team members to address questions and identify solutions to internal client issues.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree with two years of legal/contract drafting experience preferred. Paralegal or JD preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships, meet deadlines, influence and motivate team members to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn and utilize a variety of software tools.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Power Point proficiently.
  • Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Skilled in demonstrating strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
  • Skilled in Customer Relations in a manner consistent with professional communications; effective, prompt and courteous communications with respect to difficult situations, etc.
