Overview

SUMMARY:

The Head of Solutions Sales performs all functions necessary to grow and manage the Solutions Sales organization. This position builds and maintains strong infrastructure to meet business objectives, exceed budget, identify leaders and provide overall direction. Leads the company’s overall sales strategy initiative in the development and execution of client value creation strategies and tactics resulting in account retention, increased client loyalty, portfolio expansion to maximize market share, revenue growth and margin improvement.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Establishes strategy for Solutions Sales nationally in partnership with the Head of Solutions.
  • Provides leadership and direction on sales leads and opportunities to ensure sales growth is profitable and in line with company direction.
  • Interfaces with leaders of delivery to ensure colleagues are providing exceptional service to existing and prospective clients
  • Develops annual sales plans in support of organizational strategy and objectives; establishes sales goals by market and by salesperson; manages to expectation.
  • Initiates sales development programs to develop sales personnel to meet expectations.
  • Leads sales team to targeted internal sales growth; develops and tracks KPI Metrics, such as account retention, client satisfaction/loyalty improvement, revenue growth, profitability, and forecast accuracy.
  • Leads and directs Solutions Sales leaders in order to achieve mission established by Head of Solutions; coaches, mentors, and inspires leaders.
  • Strategizes with Solutions delivery to drive the sales initiatives of Solutions business.
  • Provides leadership in managing the largest and most complex matters.
  • Formulates a business strategy to Identify and target desired clients and organizations.
  • Establishes strategic goals, including both Financial goals (Revenue, number of offices, NIFO, sales productivity, client penetration targets, and average hours of consultant targets) and non-financial goals (professional development, career path, new product development, and succession planning).
  • Defines overall market, competitors, and desired market position.
  • Leads brand awareness campaign and marketing initiatives to support growth toward desired market position.
  • Revitalizes recruiting strategy for both internal and external candidates; expands alliance to improve recruitment efforts; establishes targeted retention expectations; and establishes career path programs.
  • Standardizes Solutions Sales specific policy and procedures.
  • Develops internal/external incentive programs in close partnership with the Compensation Department.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certification preferred. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior role leading a large national sales organization. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly verbally and in writing, both in one-on-one and in group presentation situations. 
  • Excellent organizational and negotiation skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate groups and individuals.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must be able to think “outside the box.”
  • Exceptional quantitative and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to grow a professional services business.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams to increased revenue and profitability.
  • Business development acumen.
  • Ability to function and prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task, team environment.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Resourcefulness with an aptitude towards creative problem solving.
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
