  • Overview

    POSITION OBJECTIVES:  The Regional Search Director (RSD) role is responsible for overseeing the Perm teams for designated offices.  The RSD will work with the VP of Search and the branch management to help direct the Search Directors (“SDs) and other perm-focused desks and drive down all perm initiatives and principles at the branch level.   The RSD inspires, motivates and develops staff to achieve the individual, branch, region and national goals. 




    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  (those functions actually required to perform the position, the removal of which would fundamentally change the job)

    1. Mentor, train and coach new and existing SDs and perm-focused staff on the following (not an all-inclusive list)
      • Use of Cosmos
      • Search and placement strategies
      • Social media strategy
      • Lead role playing on a consistent basis
      • Securing perm job orders
      • Networking Forums
    1. Take lead role in recruiting and hiring of new or replacement SDs
    2. Implement perm strategy, in conjunction with VP of Search and senior management team to increase perm revenue.  Direct the SDs and drive down all perm initiatives.
    3. Lead and motivate perm staff to work as teams, creating focus and strong morale.
    4. Conduct weekly coaching calls with SDs to review pipelines and activity levels; monitor SD calls and coach as necessary; attend SD client visits as well as train on sales, client development, etc.
    5. Support Perm staff in recruiting and placement of perm candidates as necessary
    6. Deal with any escalated client or candidate issues and provides constructive feedback to SDs
    7. Foster collaboration among staff and/or between divisions/lines of business/departments
    8. Ensure compliance to company programs and procedures
    9. The  RSD can expect to travel on average 2-3 days each week.
    10. Maintain and grow personal book of business, as time warrants.

    1.  Formal Education: 4 year College degree

    2.  Skills:

    (a)     Skill in perm recruitment and placement

    (b)     Business development acumen

    (c)     Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    (d)     Ability to function and prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task, team environment

    (e)     Ability to meet deadlines

    (f)      Problem solving capabilities

    (g)     Computer literacy

    (h)     Social media conversancy        

    3.   Experience:

    (a)    3+ years as SD with demonstrated production results

    (b)    Training/mentoring experience

    4.   Knowledge:

    (a)    Knowledge of legal practice areas and legal terminology
